Fly 32028 Bachem Ba 349 A/V Natter 1/32 – plastic model kit

Fly 32028 Bachem Ba 349 A/V Natter in 1/32 scale is a unique model kit allowing you to build one of the most extraordinary fighter aircraft created during World War II. This precisely reproduced set transports the modeler into the world of avant-garde German aviation technology of the late 1940s, offering the opportunity to build a machine that had the potential to change the course of aerial battles, but was never used in combat.

The Bachem Ba 349, known by the codename "Natter," was a vertically launched rocket fighter developed for the Luftwaffe at the end of World War II. The project was created in Germany as a desperate attempt to halt Allied bombing raids. The aircraft was intended to take off vertically from a launch ramp and attack enemy bomber formations with a set of 24 73 mm rockets placed in the nose of the fuselage. The construction was designed as a disposable machine: after intercepting the enemy, the pilot would eject, and the aircraft would break up into parts. The first test flights took place in 1945, but due to the imminent end of the war and technical difficulties, the program was quickly abandoned.

  • Model scale: 1/32 – a large kit allowing for highly detailed reproduction of structural details.
  • User country: Germany (Luftwaffe), World War II period (1944–1945).
  • Category: plastic model kit with resin additions and photo-etched parts.
  • The kit includes meticulously crafted high-quality plastic parts, resin pieces enhancing cockpit and tail section details, as well as fine photo-etched sheets emphasizing realism and build precision.
  • Historical accuracy: the set includes decals with original Luftwaffe markings.
  • Recommended skill level: intermediate and advanced modelers (difficulty level 4/5).

The Fly 32028 Bachem Ba 349 A/V Natter model kit is a proposal for modelers seeking an unusual challenge and a rare machine with a rich and somewhat mysterious history. The set is especially recommended for collectors of German WWII aviation and enthusiasts of rarely seen rocket-powered aircraft. Thanks to the combination of plastic, resin, and photo-etched parts, it is possible to achieve a very high level of realism and detail, which will certainly satisfy demanding modelers and military technology history enthusiasts.

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
