Historical Information

The 3.7cm Flak 36/37 L/60 was a German anti-aircraft gun widely used by the Wehrmacht during World War II, mainly between 1936–1945. It served to combat air targets at low and medium altitudes, becoming one of the basic means of defense against Allied aircraft during campaigns both in Europe and North Africa. The gun was also successfully used in a fire-support role against ground targets. Its most famous use was during the defense of Berlin at the end of the war and in fighting on the Eastern Front.

Why Choose the RB Model 72B58?

The RB Model 72B58 metal barrel is a product for modelers who demand the highest level of detail and durability. It is the perfect choice for intermediate and advanced diorama enthusiasts and collectors of World War II military vehicles. Replacing the plastic kit barrel with this precision metal upgrade greatly enhances the realism of the model and provides increased resistance to damage, as well as easier painting and weathering.

Assembly Difficulty: 2/5

Installing the dedicated metal barrel is easy but requires basic modeling skills for adjusting the mount to the model and using CA (cyanoacrylate) glue for a secure bond.

This product is recommended for any modeler wishing to enhance the realism of their Wehrmacht models from World War II while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and end-product durability.

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
