Product description

The Montex SM32203 product consists of Mini Mask, Maxi Mask, and Super Mask types, designed for comprehensive protection of glazed parts and for precise transfer of even very complex markings. An innovation is the ability to mask also on the inside of canopy glazing, which allows for a more realistic painted finish for the pilot's cockpit. The Maxi Mask and Super Mask stencil sets are based on historical photographs and verified sources, guaranteeing authenticity and uniqueness in the reproduction of graphic details such as British roundels or tactical numbers.

Historical information

The de Havilland DH 100 Vampire aircraft was one of the first jet aircraft in the British armed forces, entering service in 1946. It served in the Royal Air Force, as well as in the air forces of many other countries in Europe, South America, and Asia. It participated in patrol and training operations, being a symbol of technological breakthrough in aviation in the 1940s and 1950s. Its most extensive use was during the Cold War period.

Why do we recommend this product?

The Montex SM32203 mask set is an indispensable accessory for modelers seeking perfect painting results without the tedious cutting of masking tape and the risk of paint bleeding. Thoughtful design, the right choice of foil, and adhesive strength work even on difficult, rounded surfaces typical of jet canopies. It is a must-have for those who care about details and historical authenticity of the model. Recommended for both intermediate and ambitious aircraft modelers!

Scale
1/32

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
