Scale
1/32

What does the model scale mean?

The model scale designation, for example, 1:30, means that the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale determines the proportion, not the resolution or level of detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g., 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with a larger number (e.g., 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller—good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.

Red Fox Studio QS-32105 Vought F4U-1D Corsair Tamiya 1/32 – 3D Cockpit Instrument Panel Detail

Red Fox Studio QS-32105 is a precisely crafted set of 3D instrument panels dedicated to the Vought F4U-1D Corsair model in 1/32 scale by Tamiya. This high-quality accessory is intended for the most demanding modelers who want to achieve the maximum fidelity of the original interior of the American World War II carrier fighter. The Corsairs were widely used by the United States Navy and Marine Corps aviation, taking part in, among others, Pacific battles at Iwo Jima, Okinawa, and over the Philippines in 1944–1945.

The product is made from acrylic resin using advanced 3D printing technology. Every component is pre-painted professionally, reproducing even the finest details – connectors, buttons, and gauge faces with a realistic glass effect. Thanks to this, modelers avoid tedious painting of tiny parts, while simultaneously achieving a hyper-realistic finish that is impossible to achieve with brush painting techniques.

  • Variant: Instrument panel for Vought F4U-1D Corsair
  • Scale: 1/32 – dedicated for Tamiya models
  • Country of use: USA, World War II
  • Material: 3D acrylic resin, non-flat surface, three-dimensional effect
  • Finish: Professionally painted, hyper-realistic gauges and details, glass frame imitations, faithfully reproduced original colors
  • Assembly: Easy assembly with CA (cyanoacrylate) glue, Ultra Glue, or PVA
  • Cleaning and varnishing: compatible with oil and acrylic paints, minimal sanding and bending required
  • Category: Model accessories – ready-made cockpit panels (upgrade set for plastic models)

The Red Fox set is perfect for both intermediate and advanced modelers seeking a flawless interior effect. I rate the assembly difficulty as 2/5 – the ease of assembly combined with a spectacular end result makes this set exceptionally attractive. It is highly recommended for all modelers focused on build quality and historical detail, who want the "wow" effect without the difficult work of painting the smallest cockpit parts.
