Historically, this set allows you to paint a wide spectrum of British carrier-based aircraft. After World War II, the distinctive Extra Dark Sea Grey over Sky camouflage was adopted for propeller aircraft and the first jets, such as the de Havilland Sea Vampire or Hawker Sea Hawk. From the late 1950s, a change occurred: some aircraft, including the Blackburn Buccaneer S.2 and the Phantom FG.1, were painted with white instead of the classic Sky. The most significant changes were noticeable during the Falklands/Malvinas War (1982), when Sea Harriers were repainted in Medium Sea Grey and Barley Grey. From the mid-1990s onward, Sea Harriers were finished in overall Medium Sea Grey.
