Scale
1/48

What does the model scale mean?

The model scale designation, for example, 1:30, means that the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale determines the proportion, not the resolution or level of detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g., 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with a larger number (e.g., 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller—good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.

Eduard FE1120 O-2A seatbelts STEEL 1/48 ICM – seatbelts for the observation aircraft model

Eduard FE1120 O-2A seatbelts STEEL 1/48 ICM are high-quality photo-etched seatbelts designed for use in O-2A Skymaster aircraft models in 1:48 scale, produced by ICM. The product is from the renowned Czech brand Eduard, known for its precise modelling accessories. This seatbelt set is made from ultra-thin stainless steel, which ensures not only excellent detail realism but also high durability and ease of assembly. The O-2A Skymaster, also known as the Cessna O-2, was primarily used by the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War for observation and liaison missions from 1967 to 1980 (period: Vietnam War, Cold War).

The Eduard FE1120 set allows for a faithful recreation of the cockpit equipment and significantly enhances the realism of the finished model. The photo-etched seatbelts perfectly replicate the real seatbelts installed in the O-2A aircraft. Thanks to the thinness of the steel, painting and shading effects are much more realistic compared to classic plastic or fabric accessories. The product is very easy to fit to the model, and the small buckles and clasps are rendered with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Scale: 1/48
  • Country of use: United States
  • Period of use: 1967–1980 (Vietnam War, Cold War)
  • Material: photo-etched stainless steel
  • Intended for: ICM O-2A Skymaster plastic model
  • Application: recreation of pilot and observer seatbelts in the model aircraft cockpit
  • Category: model accessories for plastic models, photo-etched parts

The Eduard FE1120 O-2A seatbelts STEEL 1/48 ICM set is recommended for intermediate and experienced modellers who want to elevate the detail and authenticity of their aircraft models. Assembly difficulty rating: 2/5 – precise seatbelts in very thin metal require delicacy, but will not pose problems even for less advanced modellers. Choose this set if you care about a professional final effect and plan to enter modelling competitions where cockpit details are important.
