Katsuragi was one of the Unryū-class aircraft carriers, built towards the end of World War II for the Imperial Japanese Navy. Launched in 1944, she mainly served as a training and transport vessel due to Japan's increasingly difficult situation at sea and the shortage of pilots and combat aircraft. Katsuragi took part in evacuation operations and served as a target during American air raids in the final months of the war. She survived the war and was scrapped in 1947.
