Bronco CB35048 German Rheinmetall L-R Rocket Rheinbote Rh.Z.61/9 and Launcher 1/35

The Bronco CB35048 German Rheinmetall L-R Rocket Rheinbote Rh.Z.61/9 and launcher is a unique model kit in the popular 1/35 scale, designed for advanced modelers interested in World War II rocket weaponry. This plastic assembly model by the renowned manufacturer Bronco excellently replicates the German Rheinbote (Rh.Z.61/9) rocket along with its original launcher.

  • Scale: 1:35
  • Country of use: Germany
  • Historical period: World War II (years 1944–1945)
  • Material: high-quality plastic
  • Category: Plastic model kit

Rheinbote (German for "Messenger of the Rhine") was one of the most unusual rocket designs used by Germany during the final phase of World War II. It was the world's first four-stage solid-fuel rocket, designed by Rheinmetall-Borsig. Its purpose was to strike targets at long distances – up to 220 km – making it a unique form of artillery bombardment. Rheinbote entered the frontlines in 1944 and was used during the bombardment of Antwerp in Belgium as a response to the Allied offensive.

The Bronco kit allows you to build not only the Rheinbote Rh.Z.61/9 rocket itself, but also its dedicated launcher. The model consists of numerous, highly detailed parts that are true to historical documents. Every component was designed with attention to dimensional accuracy and technical details, which will be appreciated both by collectors of rocket weaponry and enthusiasts of World War II history.

The kit does not include extras such as metal barrels or photo-etched parts, but the model itself offers a very high level of detail. The assembly instructions are clear and guide you step by step through all stages of construction. We recommend this model mostly for advanced modelers (difficulty level 4/5) who appreciate challenging and unique builds.

Why choose this product?
This is an excellent addition to a World War II military collection, thematically fitting for Western Front dioramas. It is a must-have for fans of German rocket technology and for anyone seeking rare modeling kits. This product is for self-assembly only – glue and paints are not included in the set.

Scale
1/35

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
