Historical Description

The Panther G tank was the third and final modification of this famous series of German armored vehicles from World War II. It was widely used on both the Eastern and Western fronts, including during the fighting in Normandy, the Ardennes, and the final defense of the Third Reich in 1945. The so-called side skirts "Schürzen" protected the tank against shaped-charge projectiles from anti-tank launchers and grenades, increasing the survivability of the vehicles and their crews on the battlefield.
